Our Staff

Here are just a few of the many people who give their time and hearts to the congregation at Eudora United Methodist Church.

Michael Tomson-Degreeff - Pastor

Pastor Michael has been in ministry for eight years before coming to Eudora: seven years at Pleasant Hill UMC and one year UMC Campus Ministry at KU. Michael has a Master of Divinity from St. Paul School of Theology. He studied music at Berklee College of Music in Boston, and still loves to play drums and write songs. Michael grew up in St. Louis, MO where most of his family still lives. Michael and Steffani have been married for ten years and have four boys: Zachary, Nicholas, Benjamin, and Alexander.

Dean Manwaring - Administrative Assistant

A lifelong native of Lawrence, Kansas, Dean has over 10 years of experience as an administrative assistant, mostly in the legal profession. In addition to private attorneys, he has worked for Douglas County District Court and the District Attorney. He enjoys music, painting and traveling. He is married with two dogs and two cats.

Gary Keller - Music Director

Some people call Gary a Renaissance man. He's won prestigious state and regional awards in piano performance, accompanied stars of Broadway and Opera, and even directed a choir at President Clinton's second inaugural. His hobbies include painting, quilting, sculpture and more. He loves pugs & Boston terriers.

	Bertha Nichols - Organist Bertha has been a member of EUMC for nearly all her life. Bertha is a retired school teacher and has grown children, grand-children, and great-grand children living all around the globe. Bertha has served EUMC in nearly every possible way--from Sunday school teacher to United Methodist Women leader to Organist. Bertha now splits her time between Eudora and babysitting her great-grandchild in Brussels, Belgium.
	Don Bradshaw - Building Project Manager Don has been a member of EUMC for over seven years. As our Building Project Manager, he brings over 25 years of experience as a general contractor with his own private business. A native of California, Don is married with three grown children.
	Aletia Vaughn - Youth Ministries Coordinator Aletia has been a life-long United Methodist and native Kansan. She joined EUMC after a brief hiatus from church in 2001 following the 9/11 attacks. In addition to serving as Youth Ministries Coordinator, Aletia juggles working as a full-time manager and full-time mother to her two children, Chelsea and Jordan and wife to husband Gary.
